It's been a long long while since I picked up the keyboard and made a run at transformation fiction. Like, 4-ish years long. Most of my participation in transformation stuff, especially related to transgender transformation, during that timeframe has been through the lens of roleplay in brief descriptions or more private scenes with my partner(s). This is a somewhat different treatment of the topic than what I think conveys an effective transformation scene in terms of literature. Implicitly, one of the main motivating drivers behind departing this space was the pursuit of a more critical body of reviewers. This was so that I could learn how to effectively construct a story and characters, because one of my overarching weaknesses when writing transformation fiction was that I lacked strong storytelling or character writing, inspite of very strong descriptive capability.
